Hotel Meigetsu resides in the Taito Neighborhood of East Tokyo. It is a 30 minute Metro ride from the center (Shibuya, Roppongi) etc. The staff cares about your stay and will answer any questions in English. Rooms are small but comfortable. The bed is quite cozy. You even get a small TV and a nightstand. I highly recommend this hotel for business and budget travelers who want to save on lodging and rather stay in a traditional part of Tokyo.
Staff closes the doors at 12am so you cannot stay out very late. Also, the kitchen was very small and lacking utensils.

Had good experience, overall charming little place.
The room was brand-new, had a nice bed. Truly enjoyed a clean bathroom. We were greeted by the very very helpful staff.

Very helpful staff and extremely friendly, clean. Overall good value for money. Though toilets and showers are shared, are always sparkingly clean. Highly recommended.
I would have liked to have a mirror in the room and perhaps a bit more substantial pillow (the one provided is a bit too tiny). However these are small things which I guess reflect the low accomodation fee.

the hotel is homely and spotlessly clean. the staff is very helpful and pretty friendly. 3. the building is extremely clean. 4. the location is beautiful, close to the train stations and popular areas like Ueno, Akihabara, Tsukiji, Ginza, Roppongi. 5. the bar area is nice. 6. It was a very good stay, as always.

Every member of the staff was service-minded and cooperative. Stunning and convenient location, it was close to a metro station. Plenty of restaurants to eat close by, like Torafugutei Minami Senju that was only 5 minutes' walk away.

During my recent business trip to Tokyo, I had the opportunity to stay at Hotel Meigetsu. The hotel offers various recreational opportunities, ensuring guests can unwind after a long day of work. The onsite fitness center was equipped with top-notch equipment, allowing me to maintain my exercise routine. the hotel had a relaxing spa where I could indulge in rejuvenating treatments. The rooftop terrace provided a stunning view of the city, making it a perfect spot to unwind with a drink in hand.
The room at Meigetsu was too small for a couple, and we were a bit spoiled by our recent stay in Kyoto, where we had a room with a private bathroom and kitchen for a similar price.

Good overall experience. Overall clean and homey place, very helpful staff. Units with a bath. Location adjacent to metro stop Minami Senju, and a subway station. Again, not far from Barbican House: )

Budget freindly. A good choice for city travelers. Located on a quiet neighbourhood.
The walls are very thin allowing all the noise from the other rooms to pass in.

It was at the price level of a hostel, yet I got to have my own room. I had all my stuff with me so having a locked area to keep it all as well as a place all to myself to relax was amazing. The area around the hotel is so charming and traditional, I really love little towns like that.
No elevator, which was somewhat difficult since my bag weighed 21 kg and there were no available rooms on the main floor.

The hotel was impeccably clean, and the staff were affable and cooperative. the location was ideal, situated near a charming residential area with two schools nearby, and just a couple of stops from Shibuya on the Yamanote line and Nippori Station.
Tourists from South Africa often stay at these properties. Ideas for your future trips.
